Greetings everyone!

Over the past year or so, progress for The Newgrounds Transformers Collab has been going smoothly, but we’ve recently decided that we’re in need of more animators for the project. But this time, we’re not only searching for animators, but for artists and musicians as well! The deadline was officially pushed back from our original late 2023 deadline all the way to late January/February 2024 to commemorate the 40th anniversary on May 29th. This change was made in order to give us more time to prepare, allowing for a quality result in order to celebrate Transformers as a franchise, as well as the original Newgrounds collab in general. So alongside the invites that we’ll be dishing out over the next month or so, we’re excited to announce that we’re opening applications to the public once again to a wider audience!

HOW TO APPLY

If you’d like to apply, all you have to do is contact any of the hosts of the Collab through Newgrounds.or the email with an example of your work and a small explanation of the work you wish to do for the collaboration.

Once you apply, you’ll receive a response depending on the quality of your work. If you’re accepted, you’ll be invited to the official discord server where you’ll receive any additional information you’ll need before you start!

COLLAB REQUIREMENTS

Also, in the last announcement we foolishly messed up the requirement details for cartoons for the Collab. There was a lot that was let out, and plenty more that was misstated, so I felt the need to clear things up and spread the proper information. So to clear things up:

> Cartoons can be 30 seconds to 2:30 in length, extensions can be provided under certain conditions. <

> Cartoons must be in '1080 x 720' or '1920 x 1080'. <

> Animations are recommended to be anywhere from 12-24 fps, but you can do whatever as long as you inform an organizer. <

> Has to be submitted in an mp4 or SWF format. If you're having issues exporting, feel free to ask for help!! <

> Finally, you can do a cartoon based off of any Transformers medium, have fun with it, do whatever you want! <

Additionally, we’ll be releasing a trailer a few months before the deadline in order to show you everything everyone has been doing for the Transformers Collab 2. So far there’s been a plethora of incredible work done by a lot of very talented animators and artists, and we’re excited to be able to show it all off when the Collab is released in May 2024.

Happy Pico Day!!!

In non Pico day related news I just ate a fried egg, and like, I ate ALL OF IT, I didn’t like cut it to eat pieces of it and wipe up the yolk with my toast I just WENT FOR IT. It almost didn’t fit in my mouth but I did it before the yolk popped. Very good egg, I love eggs. Y’know I put complete on that stuff, it has like Garlic n shit in it. Very good. I also have like some toast n lemonade too but I didn’t need to use the toast really do I guess it’ll be alright with no egg yolk. Also I’m not doing any art for Pico Day but that’s fine because I’m not in the mood to draw that much really lately but I can voice act which I have been doing but aside from that I had to go downstairs to grab the eggs I just ate because the kitchen fridge broke so we’ve been using the fridge in the basement storage room where we keep our soda n shit and it was a little stressful but not to the point I was going coocoo but like I didn’t want to drop the eggs on the concrete (the storage room floor is made of concrete) but thankfully I didn’t drop the eggs on the floor and I got to bring them upstairs safely to the pan. Also btw as I’m writing this I just took a bite of the toast, very good toast.
